Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology & Management, formerly known as Northern India Engineering College (NIEC), New Delhi, was established by BBDES, Lucknow in 2003. The ADGITM campus is located in Shastri Park, a lush 8.08-acre area, and is made up of five interconnected blocks with a total built-up area of roughly 23,636.67 square meters. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), located in Delhi, is affiliated with ADGITM, which offers full-time professional programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels that have been approved by AICTE and BCI. Admission to these courses is done through entrance exams such as IPU-CET, JEE-MAINS, CAT/ MAT/ XAT. The application mode for admission is online.

About

NIEC, a self-financing private engineering college, is located in close proximity of Shastri Park, New Delhi. Presently, it is also recognized as Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology & Management (ADGITM). NIEC was founded by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society (BBDES) in the year 2003.

The institute offers admission in several engineering streams, under-graduate and post-graduate full-time courses. Eligibility Criteria to Get Direct Admission in Northern India Engineering College (NIEC) for B.Tech Courses:
  • 10 + 2 Examination of CBSE or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects passed individually with a minimum 55% aggregate.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have passed English as a subject of core/elective/functional study. All candidates must have passed in the GGSIPU CET.

Undergraduate Lateral Entry Engineering Programmes

  • B.Tech Courses (Lateral entry for Diploma holders)

  • Eligibility Criteria:
  • Three-year diploma in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 60% marks from any recognized Diploma awarding university/board/institute and GGSIPU CET qualified.
  • Candidates having a diploma in Architecture are not eligible for lateral entry to B.Tech courses.
Lateral Entry for B. Sc. Graduates

  • Eligibility Criteria: B.Sc. with Mathematics as compulsory subject and 60% marks in aggregate. All candidates must have passed GGSIPU CET.

  • Eligibility Criteria:
  • 10 + 2 Examination of CBSE or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate. A candidate must have passed English as a subject of core/elective/functional study.
  • Marks of 50% aggregate in 10 + 2 include best four subjects with English as a compulsory subject.
  • All the candidates must appear in the GGSIPU CET as the admissions are based on the merit or rank in the GGSIPU CET.

Placement Department of Northern India Engineering College (NIEC):

  • The college has developed a full-time Training & Placement (TnP) division which assists students in campus placements.
