The college is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU).

Admission Criteria and Eligibility
Admission to Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology (GCET) is conducted through AKTU centralized counseling, where the JEE-Main rank is considered as the primary criterion for seat allotment.
Eligibility Criteria:
For B.Tech:
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical/Vocational subject. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required (relaxable to 40% for SC/ST candidates).For MCA:
Applicants should have completed graduation in a relevant discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Fee Structure:
The tuition fee for the academic year 2024 is approximately ₹1,15,603, as prescribed by AKTU.
